A place forthe good stuff.

The photo, the PDF, the link you promised to send. Drop them into a room folder and find them again when your people come back.

Put the folder where it makes sense

Add a folder from Board in the dock and place it near the part of your room it belongs to. Give it a clear name, such as Study references, Trip photos or Things to watch. Drop files straight into the folder and they stay with the room. A folder with content shows papers sticking out of its icon, so you can see that something is inside before you even open it.

Open a window into the collection

Click a folder and it opens in a window with the room still behind it. Use grid view when pictures and icons help you browse, or list view when you want to scan names. Search looks through the room's folders when you don't remember where something went. Make subfolders for the collection that keeps growing, rename things as the plan changes and use the folder path to move back through it.

More than a place for uploads

A folder can hold documents and saved links as well as files. Its New menu lets you create a folder, start a document, save a link or upload files. That makes it a useful place for the references behind a shared idea, without filling every corner of the canvas. Files are kept with the room and can be opened by people who can get into it, so choose the room's audience before adding personal material.

A Little Setup.
Then You're Here.

  1. Make one clear folder

Open Board in the dock, add a folder and name it for the things you plan to keep there. Place it beside the part of the room it belongs to.

  2. Add files and references

Drop files into the folder, or open it and use New to upload files, save a link or create a document. Add a subfolder when you need another layer.

  3. Find it together next time

Invite the people who should have access to the room. Open the folder, switch views or search its contents when you need a reference during your next hangout.
